The book was first published in 1899 by The Penn Publishing Company with illustrations of foot positions and dance hold. It is almost like a handbook for dance teachers, describing the dances of the time, like Contra Dances, Round Dances, Polka, Waltz, German/Cotillions and also “The Etiquette of Balls and Parties”.
